Whether working from home or not, there’s no doubt that the affect of the COVID-19 outbreak has changed a lot about our everyday habits and routines.

While many of our scheduled conferences have been upended and we may not be able to meet in person for awhile, we still want you to feel connected to us. So we’ve created CollabCast!

Starting today, once a week on Wednesdays at 10:00am Pacific Time, we’ll present a new topic where you’ll be able to ask questions and a receive a copy of the show.

Here is a sneak peak into the weekly Wednesday webinar lineup. Click on any to register:

So whether you’re working from home or keeping your distance at work, CollabCast is great way to take a break and learn something along the way!

We’ve also added some of our latest announcements and articles below for light reading.

Keep well,

What is Collabcast?  Our group is looking for quick ways to make our in person events virtual.  This is great thank you!

Hi Mary, I can offer some advice to you on getting your meetings online. We at AIIM have been remote workers for about 6 years now and use a range of tools. Zoom (www.zoom.us) is one of the easiest to stand up quickly. You can get a free account which gives you 45 minutes (and they mean 45 mins) each meeting, or the paid version can handle longer. You can get up to 100 video cameras on these meetings!

Alternatively, something like gotomeeting is another option.

More than happy if you want to reach out to me directly, and I can offer some advice.

Thanks
Georgina

Or you can support Microsoft’s rather rapidly swelling revenues and go with Teams/Office 365.  Which offers a much wider and deeper capability set than Zoom or GTM, but subsequently has an associated learning curve and governance aspects that need to be addressed.  Definitely less of a ‘stop gap’ option and more of a longer term commitment.

Hi Mary,
Can’t tell if you are on-point or behind — but there are plenty of options out there right now.  Here is a good place to start.

You can compare two or more side-by-side and see real customer reviews.  Also at the bottom, you can do a bit of sorting based on your needs in a scaled grid.

Cheers,
-Rick
