Just got a sneak peek at AIIM’s next Industry Watch– State of the Industry: Content Services. Found this data point interesting and would love further thought on it–When asked which is more important when talking about governance in their organization – information RISK or information VALUE – the results are evenly split.
What are your thoughts here? How do you ‘sell’ information governance to your C-suite? Can you explain why? Are CEO’s/CIO’s truly equally swayed by both?
What I’ve found (up here in the wintery north portion of North America, anyway!) is that for organizations like gov’t the only thing that really gets heard is risk. For the for-profit organizations it leans more towards value, but risk is still more than just a “talking point”.
