Problem: Images of forms, in PDF format, arrive from agents (not in our control) in various levels of magnification, size, etc. While we can manually deskew, crop, and resize the image, we are looking for a way to automate the process.
Details: We digitize form content from various partners we support. Their forms (which they control) have different space usage. We select the page in the form that takes the most space as the one to guide the cropping. In some cases, agents put in text outside of these margins. This text is not as much of an issue as the magnification issue.
Query: is there a solution that could automate this process? Again, the process is:
· Deskew the pages
· Select the page that corresponds to the largest image in the standard form
· Crop the page
· Have the system crop all the pages
· Print to a PDF file to 8.5″x11″
· Safe the file under a new name
